International Roaming for Sebratec Employees

Traveling for work or leisure can be an exciting experience, but staying connected while you're on the go is just as important. At Sebratec, we want to ensure you have all the information you need to use your mobile phone abroad effectively. Whether you're calling back to Sweden, checking emails, or navigating new cities, here’s everything you need to know about international roaming.

Data within Sweden

First things first—within Sweden, there are no special requirements for roaming. You have unlimited data, and your phone works seamlessly across the country. But what happens when you step outside Sweden’s borders? Grab a coffee ☕, sit tight 🛋️, and let’s dive into it!

Roaming in the EU: What You Need to Know

If you’re planning a trip to an EU country outside of Sweden, you’ll need to take an extra step to ensure your phone service works as expected. Here’s what you need to do:

Inform Us Ahead of Time:

  • Send an email to either Ida Vey or Maja with the following details:
    • The country you’ll be visiting.
    • The dates of your trip.

It’s important to notify us a few days in advance because it can take up to one business day to activate roaming services. Note that we can only process these requests on weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 8 AM and 5 PM.

What About Data Usage Abroad?

While in Sweden, you have unlimited data at your disposal, the rules change slightly when you’re abroad.

  • EU Countries: You can use up to 100GB of data per month while roaming in the EU. This generous limit should cover your needs for browsing, streaming, and staying connected during your trip.

Important Note: This data limit applies per month, so if your trip spans across two months, the limit resets.

What If I Travel Outside the EU?

Traveling outside the European Union comes with different challenges:

  • Roaming Restrictions: Our current roaming agreements only cover EU countries + England.

  • Work travels: If your travels take you outside the EU (for example, to the United States or Asia), inform Ida or Maja as early as possible. While we can’t guarantee service in all countries, we can explore options to keep you connected.

In summary

  • Plan Ahead: Always notify Ida or Maja of your travel plans a few days before departure to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitor Data Usage: While 100GB is a lot, it's a good idea to monitor your usage if you’re streaming videos or downloading large files.
  • Stay Informed: If you’re unsure about your coverage or have any concerns, reach out to us before your trip.

Safe travels, and happy roaming! 🌍📱
